As a part of this project, our task was to redesign the existing mPOS application so that it would allow waiters to take orders and payments directly from customers at various points within the restaurant more quickly and efficiently.

While working on the brand strategy, we obtained information on the general environment of food service employees in Poland and abroad, as well as key business insights. In order to get a complete picture of their current situation and goals, we conducted a series of exercises and proposed a new information architecture for the application.
During the UX audit, we analyzed how users (waiters) use the current application, what problems they encounter, what features they find easy to find, and what features need improvement. As a result, we were able to identify potential areas of improvement and identify specific actions that will help improve the user experience.
After consulting with the client, we determined that the new mPOS application would allow users to:
After analyzing the main paths of our users and creating a sitemap for the new mPOS application, we proceeded to sketch and prototype on low-detail mockups of the aforementioned functionality.
The next step was to fine-tune the missing components for the UI Kit that the client came to us with, and to create a system design that developers can use in the future to implement new functionality in the application.
User interface was an important matter to us. We wanted it to be easy to navigate, readable and understandable for users (waiters).
