When the owner of this start-up approached us, we knew it wouldn't be a simple project. After all, there are a lot of management apps out there, and users already have their habits. However, there is a niche in which the Mr. Plan app will do just fine.
Warsztat strategiczny to niezwykle ważny etap. Klient może podzielić się z nami swoją wizją na produkt, a my mamy szansę dokładnie zrozumieć wszystkie filary tego co tworzymy.
Rozmawiamy o użytkowniku, jego problemie i rozwiązaniu, jakim jest produkt.
When the client shared his perspective with us, we understood perfectly what customer segment he wanted to target."I would like to start with a simple, yet not simplistic tool.
"Clickup looks very complicated, and Trello looks too simple."
"Jira - why does this tool have so many buttons?"
- These are direct quotes from our end users
Project management tools usually want to be for everyone. So they have complicated interfaces that provide a lot of functionality, making it difficult to dive into the applications. The time investment in more complicated tools makes sense, of course, provided you want and can use their extensive functionality.
In a certain user base, unfortunately, this does not make sense. This is where the Mr. Plan application comes in, which is simple by design, but not poor in functionality.
Based on the chosen users and assumptions, we decided to build an MVP as soon as possible to verify what the end user thinks about the application. We also created a Roadmap that allowed us to keep the project on track.
At the UX design stage, we went through the initial mockups provided by the client. Our task was to verify whether they fit the chosen strategy, whether they are consistent for the user and whether they incorporate good UX practices. At this stage, the flow of the user, how they use the tool on a daily basis and what parts of the application are most important to them were very important. Functionality prioritization proved to be very useful.
